Hope Appears Premature

Last week I wrote that maybe there was reason for hope. It appears I was mistaken.

At least I had to get up for work Friday, so I didn't have to stay up and watch it.

Now it's time for Miami. I can't even imagine how ugly that one's going to be.

Til then.

Dare I Say It?

We may finally have found an offense. At least we have reason to hope.

Sorry I missed commenting on the Alabama game. Had some family issues: my Mother In-Law was in the Hospital, and she's spent the last week recuperating at home and here with us.

As for the NC State game, Mickey damn sure lit a fire under the defense at halftime. If NC State can manage to discover a way to exploit our defensive speed, you know the BC's and VA Tech's of the world are going to go to school on it. Hopefully, we've learned our lesson and won't let something similar happen again.

And don't ya just hate Thursday night games? Especially when you have to get up at 4:30 the next day for work? I'm too old to function on four hours of sleep. Thank God for the invention of the DVR.

Till next time,

Go Noles!!!

Cure for Insomnia? FSU Offense

Boy, am I glad I didn't stay up for this one. Don't get me wrong, I'll take any win but that must have been some pathetic offensive display. Or I guess you could say the offense was offensive. The question is, if Jeff Bowden were still here, would he have even managed to score 16 points?

Thanks God for our defense.

See ya in two weeks in Jacksonville. Bring on Bama!

A Win is a Win

How bad have things gotten in Tallahassee? I'm happy for an ugly win against the "mighty" Blazers of UAB.

I'll admit I haven't done any scouting of our next opponent Colorado, but as we've shown so far, we shouldn't expect too many easy wins.

To coin a phrase, "Whew".

FSU Ends Season On High Note

OK, so it's not the Rose Bowl, but after the season we've had, I'll take a victory in the Emerald Bowl.

And maybe if we'd shown some more of the offense we saw in the fourth quarter in the last five years, Jeff Bowden wouldn't be looking for work. Although I can't imagine he's got a lot of prospects.

But all in all, it does give me some hope for next season. And I await the decision on the coaching changes with great anticipation.

FSU Hits Bottom . . . and Continues to Dig

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I'm proven wrong.

Losing 30-0 to Wake Forest?

Repeat after me: Jeff Bowden Must Go!!!

Til next time.

This is Only A Test

I'm trying to add a photo to my profile, so we'll see how this works.

A Win is a Win

To paraphrase Vince Lombardi: "What the hell was going on out there?"

That was one ugly display last night. I'd like to think it had a lot to do with the short week and rained out practices.

It damn well better be, with Clemson coming to town next Saturday.

Just what we need a week after such a poor showing: A Clemson team coming in pissed off after losing an OT game after a missed extra point.

Well, at least we can relate.

See ya next week.
